Cesar Montano running for Governor of Bohol in 2010

Cesar Montano, host of The Singing Bee, is reportedly mobilizing his political infrastructure to plan his candidacy for Governor of his home province of Bohol in the elections of 2010, because he has learned his lessons in politics when he lost in his Senate bid in 2007, by being indecisive and not being prepared financially for a national campaign. Cesar Montano is reported to have now activated a group that formerly worked for him in his botched senatorial bid. Some sectors are even blaming his estranged wife, actress Sunshine Cruz for the indecisiveness.



League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Bohol chapter President Jagna Mayor Exuperio Lloren confirmed that Cesar Montano met some mayors from the third district of Bohol last May in Peacock Garden, a luxury mountain resort in Laya, Baclayon, Bohol.

Last May 25, Cesar and his showbiz personality friends organized with the help from DYRD a basketball tournament which is to help indigents, which some sectors also saw as an early mobilization for the 2010 Gubernatorial elections.

Meanwhile, in the personal home front, Cesar Montano issued a statement about the rift between his wife Sunshine Cruz and his sister Ched Manhilot.
