Luke Menard, this year's American Idol 7 finalist has been diagnosed with cancer. Luke Menard is in stage 2 of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, also known as Hodgkin's disease, it is characterized by the spread of the disease from one lymph node group to another. Most common symptom is the painless enlargement of one or more lymph nodes. The nodes may also feel rubbery and swollen when examined by a physician. The nodes of the neck and shoulders are most frequently involved. Hodgkin's lymphoma was one of the first cancers to be cured by radiation, if it is detected in the early stages. Later-stage cancers show a significantly worse prognosis.
A representative of Luke Menard's acapella group "Chapter 6" confirmed the news and said that he’s in phenomenal shape and has a great marriage, an amazing family, a very strong faith and such a great spirit.
