Top 5 Cruise Movies Of All Time

So there have been a Top Ten or Top Five Lists of everything, from Top 5 Vampire Movies, Top 5 Chick Flicks or Top 5 Comedy Movies of all time, so why not a Top 5 Cruise Movies of all time. Cruise movies are popular or critically-acclaimed movies that feature cruises or ocean liners as part of the movie theme. On television, The Love Boat is a perfect example, so does the more current, Disney's The Suite Life With Zack And Cody. But we're talking movies here, and if you love cruises, this is the next best thing, watch movies with cruises themes. And the number 1 in the list of the Top Five Cruise or Boat Movies of all-time is:

1. Titanic - of course. It is still the highest-grossing movie of all-time too with well over a billion dollars US in sales. It made Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet an international household names too. Since its showing in 1997, none have rivaled its popularity with the movie-going public. If you are bothered with what happened in the movie's ending, pls. take note it happened in 1917. Modern cruise ships are well-prepared and well-equipped for any eventualities now.

2. Diamonds are Forever - A James Bond classic movie that tackles the elegant life. The entire movie did not really happen in a cruise ship, but a key scene of Diamonds are Forever takes place on a cruise ship.

3. Ship of Fools - this one stars Gone With The Wind's Vivienne Leigh and it was to be Vivien Leigh's last film. Ship of Fools directed by Stanley Kramer, is a 1965 film which tells the overlapping stories of several passengers aboard an ocean liner during the 1930s.

4. Show Boat - this is a 1951 lavish style film based on the musical of the same title by Oscar Hammerstein II. It is one of MGM's most popular movie-musicals. It stars legendary Hollywood star Ava Gardner.

5. Pirates of the Caribbean - this franchise is one of the most successful in movie history. It may not be an actual cruise ship in the true meaning of the word but it actually does that exactly. The characters go on a journey to exciting destinations.

Maja Salvador
Maja Salvador said she discovers more everyday, many of Coco Martin's persona behind the camera. “Naku, ang dami ko kayang natuklasan tungkol kay Coco. Mukhang tahimik lang iyan pero may itinatagong kakulitan talaga. Pag hindi kami nakasalang, madalas kaming magkuwentuhan... nakakatuwa,” ("I have discovered so much about Coco Martin. He looks like a serious guy but he has a humorous side. We are in the getting to know stage. I'm so happy") Maja said. Coco Martin and Maja Salvador are the lead stars of the ABS-CBN afternoon soap "Nagsimula sa Puso" shown right after Wowowee. Coco Martin does not really keep secrets. His life is an open book. StarStruck V Final 14 Artista Aspirants

The first reality-based artista search of GMA Network, StarStruck V, hosted by Dennis Trillo, Carla Abellana and Raymond Gutierrez, had chosen the 14 Starstruck Finalists. The 14 Starstruck hopefuls - chosen from among the Top 28 - 20 aspirants from different parts of the Philippines and 8 hopefuls from around the World.

The seven male aspirants from the Final 14 are: Ian Batherson, 20 (Mandaluyong City); Rocco Nacino, 22 (Pasig City); Enzo Pineda, 19 (Quezon City); Piero Vergara, 16 (Cebu City); Steven Silva, 22 (Davao); Sef Cadayona, 20 (Las Piñas City); and Rye Burgos, (L.A., California, USA).

The 7 lady hopefuls are: Fianca Cruz, 18 (Pasig City); Diva Montalaba, 18 (Cebu City); Sarah Lahbati, 18 (Cavite); Princess Snell, 17 (Laguna); Rox Montealegre, 19 (Pasig City); Zyril Lim (Bahrain); and Nina Kodaka (Japan).

In last Saturday's Starstruck episode, two aspirants, Astrid Isidro of Marikina City and Adam Hussien of Pasig City, came in late for their make-up session with ace makeup artist Barbie Chan. Naturally so, when the Top 14 finalists were announced, they failed to make the cut. I particularly disliked Astrid Isidro's attitude. For a 17 year-old, her attitude and behavior is appalling. She even belittled and bullied another contestant.

The members of the StarStruck Council this year are Iza Calzado, Lolit Solis and Floy Quintos.
