Leni Robredo Atat Ng Maging Presidente?

Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano tagged the Liberal Party (LP) as he questioned the motive of Edgar Matobato, doubting the alleged witness’ motive in saying President Duterte ordered the killings. Cayetano then pointed out that it is Leni Robredo of the LP who will benefit if Duterte is unseated from the presidency.

“That’s my right to question him because I am testing if he is a credible witness or this is part of LP’s Plan B. Tinesting ko kung drawing lang or imbento at dinala ka dito para pabagsakin ang administrasyong ito.

“Hindi mo alam na Liberal Party si Senator de Lima? Si dating Senate President (Franklin) Drilon, 'di mo alam na Liberal Party?

Matobato was reluctant to answer Cayetano’s questions, saying he was not involved in politics.

Cayetano also pointed out that Commission on Human Rights chairman Chito Gascon is also a member of the LP.

“Anong political party niya? Ako na magsasabi—Liberal Party. Isa siya sa pinaka-core group ng Liberal Party ever since,” the senator said.

Leni Robredo issued a statement saying the allegations raised by Edgar Matobato at the Senate hearing are "serious."

Robredo also reacted to Cayetano's statement above, saying that she is "offended" by Cayetano's accusation of a LP plot for Duterte's ouster, and that she will be the intended beneficiary of this plan.
