Korina Sanchez, in an interview with TV5 anchor Cheryl Cosim, declared that the 2016 Presidential elections is a "battle between good versus evil", with her husband, Mar Roxas, as good (Surprise! lol) and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte as evil.
"This is a battle of good versus evil. I think that is more and more evident right now. Pipili dito ang tao. Sa dilim ba tayo o sa liwanag? Pupunta ba tayo sa nakakatakot o sa sigurado? Palagay ko pagdating ng Mayo-a-nueve, alam na ng tao kung ano ang kanilang iboboto." (The people will choose. Darkness or light? Do we go with what is terrifying, or with what is a sure thing? I think that when May 9 comes around, the people will by then already know what they will vote for.)
Korina Sanchez is on leave from ABS-CBN as she campaigns for her husband.
This is not the first time that Korina Sanchez has also used the good versus evil analogy when it comes to her husband's political enemies.
Then presidential front-runner Vice President Jejomar Binay felt alluded to when Korina Sanchez, in her radio program “Rated Korina” on Aug. 24, 2010 on dzMM, referred to those who had postured to become interior secretary before the appointment of Jesse Robredo in 2010 as “mga maiitim at maliliit na mga maligno (dark, little ghouls).”
