Manny Pacquiao just said that Gay People are Worse than Animals

Manny Pacquiao in an interview aired on TV5 said that, coming from a religious background, he could not give his support for same-sex marriage. In saying so, he once again, spewed venomous comments against gay people, comparing them to animals and deems them worse than animals.

Manny Pacquiao said: “Ginawa ang babae para sa lalaki, ginawa ang lalaki para sa babae (Woman was made for man, man was made for woman),” he said.

“Common sense lang. Makakita ka ba ng any animals na lalaki sa lalaki o babae sa babae? Mas mabuti pa yung hayop. Marunong kumikilala, kung lalaki o lalaki, babae babae (It’s common sense. Will you see any animals where male is to male and female is to female? The animals are better. They know how to distinguish, male or female).”

“Ngayon kung lalaki sa lalaki, babae sa babae, mas masahol pa sa hayop ang tao (If we approve male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animal).”

In 2012, Manny Pacquiao also drew flak for his homophobic remarks in an interview.

Manny Pacquiao is running for the Senate in the May 9 general elections. In a recent poll, Pacquiao is tipped to be included in the Magic 12 winning circle for a Senate seat despite a lackluster stint at the House of Representatives where he is one of the often absent legislator in its sessions due to his boxing career.

After his marriage with Jinkee Pacquiao almost collapsed because of his reported womanizing with a string of starlets, he turned to religion, particularly the fundamentalist Born-again branch of Christianity.

Homosexuality is actually present in the Animal Kingdom. In a report, BBC mentioned citing credible sources that it is extremely common across the animal kingdom. Wikipedia also had an extensive page on this topic.
