In an earlier interview, JM's father explained that JM is emotional and sensitive, that's why he became an "artist' or movie star and not an accountant or lawyer. In 2005, JM de Guzman studied in UP Diliman where he took up Certificate in Theater Arts, majoring in Performance Studies. He later apprenticed as an actor and production staff under the university's college-based theatre group, Dulaang UP.
Latest (bad) news, he has been replaced by Jericho Rosales in a 2015 MMFF entry movie, "Walang Forever" and will also be reportedly axed in his ABS-CBN afternoon soap, "All of Me."
