Madonna is to divorce husband Guy Richie

Madonna is said to be divorcing his husband of eight years, Director Guy Richie (Snatch). The supposed reason of the Madonna and Guy Richie split is simply described as "growing apart." And their relationship were said to be further strained with Madonna's adoption of a Malawi baby she named David Banda.

The divorce rumor is not yet final but Madonna reportedly hired Nicholas Mostyn QC, days ago. Mostyn is said to be the toughest divorce lawyer in the UK who was also Paul McCartney's divorce lawyer in his much talked about divorce with Heather Mills.

Other Telltale signs of a Madonna-Guy Richie Separation:

* Guy Richie didn’t show up at Madonna’s Raising Malawi fundraiser at the UN Headquarters in New York. The event was incredibly important to her.

* Guy Richie did not attend Madonna's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame dinner.

Despite her seeming to be a smart and in control woman, reports are that the reason Madonna hired a good lawyer in Mostyn is because she did not have a Pre-Nuptial agreement with Guy Richie. Which if true would entitle Guy Richie to half of Madonna's fortune. Which in turn is very sizeable, last year alone, Madonna earned more than US$100 Million Dollars..uh..owh..

Nevertheless, Madonna has a new film entitled, I Am Because We Are, which premiered in the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, Cannes, France. Btw, Guy Richie showed up with Madonna in that recent event.
